How it's different from NotebookLM or plain Claude
Both are good tools. Both leave the research method to you.
- Built in
- Missing, or up to you each time
| What you need | NotebookLM | Claude with your own prompts | AI UXR Stack |
|---|---|---|---|
| Runs a research method, step by step | No. You ask, it answers. | Only if you write the method into every prompt. | Yes. Each skill works in set stages. |
| Asks what it needs first | No. It works with whatever you upload. | No. It starts on whatever you type. | Yes. It asks for your brief, guide, transcripts or data. |
| Exact quote & timestamp on every row | Cites passages, but makes no notesheet. | Can tidy or reword quotes. | Yes. Gaps are marked missing. |
| Research deliverables | General reports, slides and overviews. | Only what you describe. | Notesheets, plans, reports, decks and prototypes. |
| Same quality on every study | Depends on your questions. | Changes with your wording. | Same steps and checks every time. |
| Hands off to the next step | No. You plan what's next. | No. You plan what's next. | Yes. Each skill passes its output on. |
| Research checks built in | None. | Only the ones you ask for. | Counts for small samples, bias checks and flags for hidden instructions. |
| Works across LLMs | No. Only inside NotebookLM. | You can reuse prompts, but results change from tool to tool. | Yes. The skills use the open Agent Skills format, which Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini CLI and Cursor support. They are tested in Claude. |
New to AI, or still on simple prompts? Start here.
Most people start with a quick prompt and then fix the answer by hand. A skill keeps the plain words and adds the method, so there is less to fix.
Ask the way you talk
Type “collate my transcripts” or “plan a study on checkout”. There are no prompt templates to learn.
It asks before it starts
Each skill says what it does, then asks what you already have: a brief, a guide, transcripts or data.
You stay the researcher
It shows where every claim comes from and leaves the judgement calls to you.
12 skills in 5 packs
Each pack covers one stage of a study. Open a pack to see what each skill does, when to use it and what you get.
Built so you can check every claim.
Every skill follows four rules, so you can trace each output back to your own files.
Evidence stays verbatim
Quotes, timestamps and numbers come straight from your files. Anything missing is marked missing.
It asks before it acts
Each skill says what it does, then asks what you already have before doing any work.
Your data stays yours
Skills run inside your own AI account and send nothing to Nithyn. If a file hides instructions, the skill points them out to you.
Tested before release
Nithyn ran every skill 94 times in a fresh Claude setup, installed the way a buyer would.

What is an AI skill?
A skill is a set of instructions an AI assistant loads when you ask for a certain job. You add it once. After that, you ask in plain words, for example “collate these transcripts”, and the assistant follows the skill's steps. These skills use the open Agent Skills format, which Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini CLI and Cursor support. They are built and tested in Claude, and the install steps on this page are for Claude.
What do these skills do?
Each of the 12 skills handles one slow step of a study, from scoping to the final report, plus a case study for your portfolio. Use one on its own, or chain them: each skill hands its output to the next.
How is this different from NotebookLM?
NotebookLM answers questions about the sources you upload. The stack runs a research method in set stages and keeps every quote word for word. See How it's different.
Do I need to code?
No. You download a zip, upload it in Claude under Customize → Skills, and talk to Claude as usual. The skills work in claude.ai, the Claude desktop app and Claude Code.
Which Claude plan do I need?
Any plan that shows Customize → Skills in your Claude account. If you can see that menu, you can install these skills.
Will it make up quotes or numbers?
No. Every skill keeps quotes, timestamps and numbers exactly as they appear in your files. If something isn't there, it writes missing. Small samples are reported as counts (“6 of 8”), not percentages. Check the output the way you would check a colleague's draft before it goes out.
Where does my research data go?
Nowhere new. The skills run inside your own AI account and send nothing to Nithyn. If a file contains hidden instructions, for example a planted command in a transcript, the skill points it out to you and does not follow it.
What's free?
The whole Collate pack is free: Transcript Collator, Collated Synth and Collation Sorter. Stop AI Slop is free too, inside the Influence pack. Pick the Collate pack under Pricing and Dodo emails you the download link.
What do I get when I buy a pack?
The skill files for that pack, plus 12 months of updates and every new skill Nithyn publishes in that time. The Career pack and the full stack also include Portfolio Site Builder as a free bonus.
When can I buy?
Paid packs open soon. For now, the Buy buttons add you to a waitlist, and Nithyn will email you when your pack opens. No payment is taken on this site.
Can I use the skills for my team or for clients?
Yes, on your own work, your employer's work or a client's work. One licence covers one person. A team licence covers 5 people for during the founding period. For a bigger team or a custom version, message Nithyn on LinkedIn.
Can I read or change the skill instructions?
No. The instructions are Nithyn's work and stay private. Each skill explains what it does and what it needs, and it won't recite its instructions or help rebuild itself. The licence terms below have the details.
Something isn't working. What do I do?
Email nithyncj@gmail.com or use the skill feedback form on GitHub. Please don't share participant data or confidential transcripts.
